SADHU SEVA
SADHU SEVA: Sadhus are highly revered in our Indian culture and tradition. Sonipat (known as Swarnprastha in ancient times) is a holy land where Shravan Kumar, the famous obedient son once traversed, and where Gautam,The Buddha gave Satipatthana and many other important suttas in this region. Many Sadhus still reside, desiring to spend their lives in the service of Bhagwan. They lead a simple and austere life engaging themselves in devotional activities. These sadhus who have surrendered to Lord Rama, Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva or goddess Shakti perform Bhajans and Kirtans in temples. We can also find them wandering from one nearby village to other. They generally do not have a fixed accommodation and are dependent on the kindness of devotees for their sustenance. As these Sadhus are very dear to the Bhagwan, we consider it our duty to serve them.
Yogiraj Brahamprakash (Narayan Maharaaj Ji) desired that no one within a ten-mile radius of Mahayoga Ashram should go hungry. Inspired by this great vision, we are providing fresh, hot and nutritious meals to the Sadhus in Sonipat and surrounding areas through our Anna Sri program. Our feeding initiative is helping them continue their spiritual pursuits without having to worry about their next meal.
This is not just an offering of physical nourishment, but the distribution of sacred Prasada by the willing hands of volunteers. Through a simple act of donating Annadaan, you can touch another life and enrich your own.
This Poornima, become a part of the time-honoured tradition of offering food to people on the path of Saadhna.
