ब्रह्मानन्दं परमसुखदं केवलं ज्ञानमूर्तिं
द्वन्द्वातीतं गगनसदृशं तत्त्वमस्यादिलक्ष्यम् ।
एकं नित्यं विमलमचलं सर्वधीसाक्षिभूतं
भावातीतं त्रिगुणरहितं सदगुरूं तं नमामि ।।

Yogiraj Swami Braham Prakash (popularly known as Narayan Maharaj Ji) was born c.1920 in the village of Lak in Shamli tehsil of Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh. His parents were very pious and virtuous. He has almost lost his vision in childhood but by blessings of a Sadhu, who appeared in his dream, his vision was restored. After this incidence, he left his home in search of truth. He took Deeksha from Avadhoot Chandan Dev Ji at Sunhera village near Baghpat. Narayan Maharaj ji remained celibate all through his life. A Yogi of the highest order who was an adept of Ashtang (Patanjali) Yoga and, hence, he was honoured with the title of “Yogiraj” by the contemporary mystics. He left his physical body on 9th Dec. 1996.
